2023 Recap
What I did in 2023, A look back (but really these are steps towards the future).
In 2023 I was in 18 group exhibits with Annapolis Arts Alliance, Maryland Federation of Art, Bowie Arts Committee, The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, National Association of Women Artists, Inc. (Official), Arts PG Parks, Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, and Overlea ArtsFest.
I had 2 solo shows, one at Arundel Center thanks to the ACAAC and one at Annapolis Family Acupuncture. And 1 joint show at Paul's Homewood Cafe thanks to MFA.
My art was displayed on the billboard thanks to LED Baltimore and I won 3rd place in a contest with Art List. I also had several features on Fine Art America.
I taught ballet classes at National Ballet Institute for the Arts and we moved the studio from Edgewater to Bowie!
I performed in the Tales of Beatrix Potter as Mrs. Tiggy Winkle with National Ballet Company and assisted backstage during The Nutcracker at Prince George's Publick Playhouse and at Captain Avery Museum (where we also performed Tales of Beatrix Potter).
I also taught ballet classes at the Bowie Community Center and hosted art nights at The Creative and Performing Arts of South County.
I was juried in and became a member of National Association of Women Artists, Inc.
I was a face of Sarcoidosis for the Caring Hands Sarcoidosis Foundation.
I dabbled in felt wool, became an ACE Educator on Outschool and challenged myself with MD/VA/DC Photo Society, and I took Cecchetti Institute classes.
And I took many field trips with my children in the name of homeschooling, exploration, and photography to Smithsonian Musuem Of Natural History, Maryland Science Center, Assateague Island National Seashore and National Aquarium.
And these are only the things I thought you would be most interested in. I am grateful for every opportunity and hope that I can improve and expand upon them in the future. These are my building blocks of life.
A Tribute to Van Gogh and Gauguin (shown to the left) was an experiment with acrylic paint markers in the final days of 2023.
